Mca (Multitrepannic Collagen Actuation)

Also known as MCA (Multitrepannic Collagen Activation).

This procedure stimulates the skin to produce it’s own melanin in areas where surface scar tissue is present, fine white scars , facelift scars and to relax burn scars.

MCA is dry Needling which is a form of collagen induction therapy (CIT) which is a great treatment for improving the appearance of white scars and to relax tight burn scars.

MCA treatment has been around for years but its only been recently discovered to help with white scars.

What is Mca?

This treatment is very unique as it can bring back your own skin colour in white scars, its not suitable for everyone but it works well for medium to dark skin tones that can tan with ease.

The method is dry needling with a cosmetic tattooing pen in a particular way to stimulate your own melanin in a white scar, for this treatment to be successful sun is required after the treatment.

MCA is also known to reduce deep scars or wrinkles to stimulate collagen to soften the scar or wrinkles in a natural way. This is one of my favourite treatments for the right person.

It is not the same as mico-needling or derma-roller , It is a medical treatment using tattoo needles causing more precise and targeted trauma to the scarred area.

This aids in the production of melanin (skin pigment), collagen and elastin to flatten and re-pigment scar tissue.

FaqsWhat you need to know...

Most types of white scars are suitable for treatment with the exception of keloid scars and if the scar is still pinkish or red / purple, this means the scar is still healing and should be left alone until it has finished healing. Anyone with a history of keloid scarring should not be treated unless they have a doctors approval but in most cases the MCA is not that invasive.

The skin healing time period varies between clients, but MCA needling treatment can be performed usually every 6 weeks. If your immune system is compromised or those with hyperpigmentation will take longer.

MCA needling is a great to prepare scars and stretch marks ready for tattoo pigment treatment.

It flattens and smooths the skin, shrinks the scars and can stimulate your own natural pigment.

MCA would be the first step to improve stretch marks , some stretch marks are deeper than the surrounding skin, it can appear to look wrinkly so MCA needling helps to improve this.

IT is always recommended to try MCA needling before resorting to Camouflaging with tattoo ink
